This Year's Show The 2008 OKC Train Show will be one of the largest train related shows west of the Mississippi River. It will feature almost 100,000 square feet of nothing but trains. There will over 200 exhibitor booths that will be displaying model railroad and railroad related items. Almost 30,000 square feet has been set aside for operating model railroads for the public to view. This year the Oklahoma City Train Show staff, manufacturers, and vendors are pleased to announce the first ever: "GREAT TRAIN SET GIVEAWAY"  Where more than 30 model train sets will be given away to children 12 years and younger only throughout the show. The "GREAT TRAIN SET GIVEAWAY" is sponsored this year by Athearn, Inc., Whistle Stop Trains of OKC, Brad's Trains, Lionel LLC, eRail Hobbies, and several others. There will also be the Thomas the Tank Engine Play Area. This will be a carpeted area that will have several wooden toy trains boards, plastic toy track, and of course, Thomas models for the children to play with. One can also visit with some of the model railroad industry's leading manufacturers. Companies such as Athearn, Atlas, Bowser, Con-Cor, Digitrax, Intermountain, Kato, Richmond Controls, and Sountraxx will be on hand to answer questions and display thier latest products.
